With fiber-rich green veg, mineral-rich broth, and oomph from Chile Honey Hot Sauce, this soup-meets-smoothie-meets-tonic is both healthful and a cinch to make. Just one soothing shot fuels our body, mind, and soul while powering through the busy winter.
Yield: 2 1/2 cups
Ingredients
- 2 cups (~5 ounces) packed broccoli florets, roughly chopped
- 1 stalk celery, roughly chopped
- 1 large clove garlic, roughly chopped
- 1 jar/2 cups broth, veggie or meaty
- 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt, or to taste (optional)
- 2 cups (~1 1/2 ounces) loosely packed spinach
- 2 1/2 tablespoons Certo Misto Hot Sauce
Process
- Toss broccoli, celery, garlic, and broth together in small saucepan. Cover and bring to a boil. Drop to a gentle simmer and cook, covered, for 6 minutes.
- Pour mix into blender/Vitamix/food processor along with salt, spinach, and syrup. Blitz till liquid and vibrantly green.
- Pour into a warm mug, bowl, or shot glass, depending on how you take it. Any leftover soup can be refrigerated and reheated for up to three days.
